Our Mission: To fulfill President Lincoln’s promise to care for those who have served in our nation’s military and for their families, caregivers, and survivors.

DMVA partners with governmental and non-governmental agencies to ensure the health, safety, and care of veterans and their families.  Simultaneously, we recruit, retain, and invest in a diverse physically and mentally resilient workforce (civilians and service members) to ensure the readiness of the Pennsylvania National Guard in order to respond the needs of the Commonwealth and Nation when called upon.

The National Resource Directory (NRD) is a resource website that connects wounded warriors, Service Members, Veterans, their families, and caregivers to programs and services that support them. The NRD is hosted, managed, maintained, sustained and developed by the Defense Health Agency's Recovery Coordination Program.

A resource developed and operated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Make the Connection aims to reduce barriers and stigma associated with mental health challenges that may prevent Veterans from seeking mental health care. Talking openly about mental health and the challenges that many Veterans face can help encourage Veterans and their families to get the support they need.  

Our mission is to proactively support wounded, ill, and injured service members in their recovery and reintegration or transition to civilian life. To achieve this, we focus on our vision to ensure the nation’s wounded, ill, and injured service members, their families, and caregivers are not forgotten.

Launched in 2007, the Veterans Crisis Line started with 14 trained responders working out of a call center in Canandaigua, N.Y. It’s grown to include an online chat and text service with 1,100 responders in 3 call center locations. 

The VFW offers a wide range of assistance programs aimed at helping veterans of every generation. Whether that means providing free, professional help filing or appealing a VA claim, offering scholarships for post-secondary education or providing emergency financial relief when times get tough, the VFW is there for America's veterans.

The American Legion is committed to empowering veterans by providing the tools and information they need to thrive in civilian life.

We prepare America's veterans, service members, and military spouses for meaningful careers, provide them with employment resources and expertise, protect their employment rights, and promote their employment opportunities.

Established in 1914, members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Auxiliary set out to serve the veterans of this country and our communities in honor of the sacrifices and commitment of every man and woman who has served in uniform.
